Bob & Sue Schoenborn - Owners
Bob has been in the jewelry industry since he was 13 years old. He was taught how to size rings on the Goldsmith bench and was expected to assist in the family store at a very young age. After graduating from Kiel High School, Bob went on to college in Milwaukee where he studied Horology. Horology is the science of measuring time and the art of making timepieces. Just a short time after graduating from college, Bob took his state boards and became a certified Watch Maker. While going to school in Milwaukee, Bob also studied Jewelry, Diamonds and Gemstones, taking a plethora of different courses related to our industry. He later studied with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and became a certified Diamond Grader. In 1976, Bob and Sue married and soon built a home right outside of Kiel. You will find Sue behind the scenes here at Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry, taking care of the bookkeeping. Not only will you see both Bob and Sue at the store, you will more than likely run into their dog, Kesha. Kesha is Samoyed that has been with the family since 2015.
